This past weekend I was able to finish caulking and puttying the crown moulding and then painted it all. It looks really good. The nail holes in the crown moulding covered really well - it looks like it was glued up there!

Also this weekend, I helped my friend Greg put new carpet in his wife's Mazda Miata. It came out nice and it was a fun weekend project. Afterwards, we let Neo take it for a spin around the block, and look what he came back with! Pictures from the install are here.

Took another baby-step on the theater room this weekend. I borrowed an air-compressor, nail gun, and chop saw from my friend Greg on Saturday and on Sunday, we cut and installed the crown moulding and base moulding. The room is really starting to look more like a room now. There is a couple more pictures in the "house pics" section. Thanks for letting me borrow the tools Greg!

Got quite a bit done in the theater room this weekend. A buddy of mine, John, came over and helped me do many things. We ran the speaker wires (or most of it), ran power to three receptacles in the closet, installed a junction in the attic, painted the crown moulding and the base moulding, painted and installed the door, replaced the light switch, drilled cable holes in the entertainment rack, installed corner blocks for crown moulding, and laid a run of Romex from the junction box all the way to the fuse box. We didn't drop into the fuse box, as I don't feel comfortable working with it, so I will probably just call an electrician to add a breaker for me. If that costs too much, I will just try branching off an existing circuit. Thanks for all of your help John!

Since the work was mainly "in the walls" stuff, there is not much to see, but I did grab a few pics and put them in the "house pics" area if you want to see some of the progress.

Also, I added the pictures from the Bergeron Sandestin vacation in the "Family" section. Looks like you guys had a great time. We would expect nothing less :)

Sorry for the longer than usual delay between posts. Things have been pretty crazy around here. In fact, I'm going to go ahead and apologize for the next post being delayed.

This weekend was a great weekend. Lori (Neo's nanny) came in and visited us for the weekend. We had an awesome time. Neo had his last T-ball game on Saturday which was tons of fun. His team had a pizza party afterwards and got their trophies (which Neo loves). You can see pictures from the game here.

The flight has been making things pretty hectic at work for both Christian and I. I was just watching NASA TV a second ago to see the landing, but it looks like they waived off landing attempts until tomorrow morning.

Other than that it has been mostly working on the house. I drained the water heater yesterday. I was expecting a ton of grit and dirt to come off of the bottom of the tank, but oddly enough, there was very little. Now I am worried that there is a lot of sediment at the bottom, but it has hardened from the heat. Oh well. I'll listen to it this week and decide whether or not I need to flush it again more vigorously next weekend.

Work on the theater room is still on hold, mainly because we haven't set aside any time to work on it. I'm hoping that will change this week after the flight is over.
