This morning I woke up early to go explore the ship. The boat was rocking a bit, but I figured that we must now be in open water and this is what it was going to be like.
But, then I went to the top deck and realized that we were in some incredible winds. The wind was blowing so hard, I had to hold my glasses on my face!
Hopefully, the weather will be better by this afternoon.

While getting dressed last night for dinner, I put on my new shoes. First, I put on the left one. Then, I grabbed the other left one. Hmmm... two left shoes??? I guess you have to pay extra for a left and a right shoe at Payless.
This had "Graffagnino" written all over it. So, I will have to make do with my brown shoes. Oh well.
Dinner was great. Our dinner partners are Eric and Jenn from Baltimore. They are great. This week should be fun.
After dinner, we tried our luck at the casino. I managed to lose 120 bucks before my seat at the blackjack table even got warm. Christian made 20 bucks last pretty long at video poker before losing it.
When we got back to the room, Christian surprised me with a gift: a really nice Movado watch! Wow. I don't think I deserve that.
Well, we left a little late. Not sure what the hold up was. We snacked a couple of times before dinner and had our safety drill. Our dinner is at 8:30 (which is good because we won't waste any daylight getting ready).
Wow. This is one big mutha! We are standing on the top deck!
I forgot my wireless laptop card so this will be my last post until we get back. There will be plenty of pictures!
The ship is enormous! We are still waiting to board, but it shoudn't be long now. Boy are we glad we got here early!
And we are off! We just had a quick stop in Baton Rouge to eat breakfast and are moving on to N'arlins.

Well, tomorrow is the big day. I am feeling a little better since the doctor gave me some antibiotics. I can't wait for my first cruise. I think Christian is a little excited too :)

With only 5 days to go, I have come down with some sort of infection. It started in my throat and moved to my sinuses. Hopefully I can see a doctor today...

This is a test post from my cell phone. Only 7 more days. Woo-Hoo!!

Only 15 days until our cruise!! This will be my first cruise and I am very excited.
Also, we had all of our ductwork in the house replaced and also replaced the evaporator coil. We actually have decent air-flow to all parts of the house now. The evaporator coil is for the A/C, so we won't see the benefits of it until the summer. All of it cost us a pretty penny, but we are hoping it will pay off in the long run.
