I guess I am getting old. At some point, knee-high boots and a mini-skirt became a halloween costume for kids. I was about to ask, "What are you supposed to be?", but I realized that I was asking for trouble.
Halloween this year was fun. We set up the scooby doo "Mystery Machine" sign in the front yard. After walking with Neo and a friend down the street, Christian (dressed up as Velma), handed out candy next to the Mystery machine. You can see pics here. And be sure to check out these four new Ethan pictures!!
Also, this morning I shot pistols at the PSC shooting club. I was invited to go by a guy at work. Overally, I think I shot fairly decent having only shot a pistol once or twice before. We shot .22 caliber pistols at bowling ball pin tops (the top of the pin is sawed off). Also we had a "stump shoot" where teams try to chop their wooden "stump" in half with bullets before the other teams. It was a lot of fun. The club was nice and so were the people. I think I will probably join next year so I can go and shoot skeet.

I spent all day today working on the van. I am still trying to find that darn electrical leak. I checked the voltage at the power plug in the center console and it was only about 5 volts. I traced it back to the fuse panel - all of the fuses had slight corrosion. I think coke got spilled on them at some time. I changed every fuse except 2 and sprayed thoroughly with contact cleaner. This fixed the power plug and helped some other things, but did not fix the leak.
I believe the problem is that when I turn the key off, certain relays stay latched on. In this state, the chime does not come on, and I can still roll my windows up and down!! And when I remove fuse 19 (GEM/Instrument cluster), and replace it, the relays unlatch, and I go to the correct "key off" behavior - mainly - chime when key in ignition and door open and power windows don't work.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Some good news is that I think I finally have a good set of windshield wipers on the van. These actually work!!!
In other news, Christian dressed up like "Velma" from Scooby Doo today for work. I will post the pictures when I post all of the ones from Halloween.

We now have two new members of the family: Bubbles and Magoo. They are now keeping Sam company.
I know the pictures are kind of hard to see. Magoo (named after Mr. Magoo - he has huge eyes) is a black Moor goldfish and Bubbles is a Red-cap Oranda goldfish.

What an awesome camping trip in the backyard. The next morning, Christian surprised us with coffee and breakfast.
It got a little colder than the weather-man said it would, but we handled it. I think Neo really enjoyed it. I think we all enjoyed it. Pictures are here.

Neo and I are camping out in our backyard... at this very moment.
Last night we set up camp, played computer games, made a fire and made smores with Mom, sneaked into the house to rescue scooby doo, and then went to sleep on our air mattress in our tent.
Since we are camping in the backyard, we happen to have electricity and wireless internet. :)
I took a few pictures, and I will try to post them later today.
