I am almost too tired to type. It was a three day weekend and almost every hour of it was spent working on the house.

Luckily, my good friend John came over this weekend to help me with quite a bit. We started by going to Home Depot to get a pole saw. We also borrowed my neighbors chain saw and we got to work. We cut down all of the shrubs and trees growning right next to the side of the house that were busting up the foundation and messing up the roof. Now we have nothing touching the house.

Not only did we cut them all down, but we chopped them up and bundled them. On Sunday we chopped so more and also worked a bit on the driveway. The big task Sunday afternoon was burying a soaker house around one half of the house to help water the foundation (the good half - I am trying to prevent it from having the same problems as the bad half while I can). We worked past dark and got the trench dug, the soaker hose buried, and the timer hooked up. John, I can't thank you enough. Without you, this would have easily been 4 days worth of work.

Today I was off for MLK day. Neo and I did so much around the house that it is hard to believe we did it all in one day. Before winding down with some xbox, we listened to the entire "I Have A Dream" speech. I try to make it a point to listen to it every year on MLK day.

It was a great weekend, and we got a tremendous amount done.

Also, I have added a few more pictures from Lori's Wedding.
